On, Monday, June 13, 2022, the National Capital Consortium for Pediatric Device Innovation (NCC-PDI) – an FDA-funded collaboration between Children's National Hospital and the Fischell Institute – invited all Fischell Institute affiliate, Fischell Fellow, and Fischell Institute Fellow faculty members, as well as interested UMD/UMB faculty in engineering, medicine, or pharmacy, to take part in a special workshop designed to connect researchers and clinicians from Children's National Hospital with Fischell Institute researchers.

This event was held from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Children's National Research & Innovation Campus in Washington, D.C. The event concluded with a tour of JLABS @ Washington, D.C. – the new Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Children's National Research & Innovation Campus.

The aim for this event was to facilitate collaboration in order to drive new innovations in the pediatric health space. NCC-PDI offers funding support, most especially through the annual Medical Device Pitch for Kids competition, which awards $150,000 in FDA-sponsored grants as well as additional support from MedTech Innovator.

Additional details about this event – including links to recordings and presentations – are coming soon.
